According to the California Highway Patrol, 3 people were injured in an accident in the northbound lanes of Interstate 45. The accident occurred last month at 12:31 p.m. on Monday, June 20.
Police reports indicate that the accident happened at little south of Laguna Canyon Road when a vehicle veered off the highway. Investigators are currently unaware of if another vehicle was involved in the accident or why the vehicle moved off the roadway.
16 firefighters helped at the scene of the accident and the Jaws of Life were used to remove 2 of the vehicle’s 3 passengers. The passengers included a 51-year old, 10-year old, and 4-year old. All 3 passengers suffered traumatic injuries and were taken to Mission Hospital for treatment.
