Joanne Kim

Joanne Kim is an associate attorney with Daily Aljian. Ms. Kim practices general business litigation with a focus on labor and employment law. Ms. Kim has experience litigating class, multi-party, and individual cases including claims for wage-and-hour class actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and retaliation. Ms. Kim has litigated in both state and federal courts in California.

Ms. Kim earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and her juris doctor degree from Boston University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. During her time in law school, Ms. Kim interned at the Office of the Attorney’s General in the employment sector in Oakland, California, and provided legal counsel to student entrepreneurs at the BU/MIT Startup Law Clinic.

Prior to joining Daily Aljian, Ms. Kim worked at an employment law firm in Los Angeles, California, representing plaintiffs in wage and hour class and collective actions, as well as individual harassment and discrimination cases.

Outside of the office, Ms. Kim enjoys spending time with her family, photographing her two dogs, and exploring the local food scene.
