Last month, Groupon Inc. filed a trade secrets lawsuit against two of its former sales managers. The managers are accused of leaving the company to work with Google Inc. on their Google Offers project.
According to the lawsuit, the former Groupon employees are performing similar duties at their new jobs with Google, requiring them “to employ confidential and proprietary information that they learned while at Groupon.”
Specifically, Groupon accuses the sales managers of violating contractual promises that prevent them from sharing information from marketing plans, sales plans, and customer lists.
